Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Avernix Game Studio (“we”, “us”) about Stratagia Online: the game, this website and the accounts you use for both. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Stratagia Online.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You may not play if we have banned you before.

2. Your account

• Give a real email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• One account per person. Don’t share, sell, buy or trade accounts.
• Your lord name is shown to other players. Pick one that follows the rules below; we may change a name that doesn’t.

3. The alpha, and wipes

Stratagia Online is in alpha: it is unfinished, and it will change. Features, balance and rules can change at any time, and the game may be unavailable, slow or broken while we work on it.

Accounts, cities, troops, items and all other game progress from the alpha and the beta will be wiped before the official launch. Progress may also be reset during testing. Don’t treat the alpha or the beta as a long-term save.

4. Fair play

When you play, you agree not to:

• Cheat, or use bugs or exploits to gain an advantage. If you find one, report it on the bug report page.
• Use bots, scripts, macros or other software that plays for you or automates the game, unless it is a feature we provide in the game.
• Run several accounts to feed resources, troops or votes to one another.
• Attack, overload or try to break into the game, this website or our servers, or other players’ accounts.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content in chat, mail, names or reports.
• Pretend to be someone else, including us or our staff.
• Sell or trade game items, resources or accounts for real money or anything outside the game.

Wars, raids, conquests and colonies against other players are part of the game. Being attacked in the game is not harassment; harassing someone outside the game’s rules is.

5. What you post

You keep ownership of what you write in chat, mail, alliance descriptions, visit comments and bug reports. You give us permission to store, show and use it to run the game, and to remove it if it breaks these terms. Messages may be read by us when we look into a report or a problem.

6. Virtual items and Crowns

Stratagia Online is free to play. Crowns, items, resources, troops, cities and everything else in the game are virtual: they have no real-world value, can’t be exchanged for money, and are licensed to you for use in the game, not owned by you. We may change, rebalance or remove them, and they are lost in a wipe.

Optional purchases are planned. Nothing can be bought yet; before anything can be, we will publish the terms that apply to purchases, including refunds.

Promo codes are free, can be used once per account, and may expire or be withdrawn at any time.

7. Breaking the rules

If you break these terms, we may warn you, remove content, reset or take away game progress, or suspend or ban your account, depending on what happened. A ban removes you from the game within minutes. If you think we got it wrong, contact us through support@avernix.com.

You can stop playing at any time. To have your account deleted, contact us through support@avernix.com.

8. Our content

The game, its art, code, text and names belong to Avernix Game Studio or to those who licensed them to us. You may share screenshots and videos of your own play, including on streams, but you may not copy, sell or reuse the game or its assets otherwise.

9. No guarantees

Stratagia Online is provided “as is” and “as available”, especially during the alpha. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be available, free of bugs, or that any progress will be kept.

10. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, Avernix Game Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost progress or virtual items, arising from your use of Stratagia Online. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, which during the alpha is nothing. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game grows. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the game or on this site about big changes. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.

12. Other things

If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information.
